Afternoon!

Good Afternoon!

How is your day going? We are being blasted by wind this afternoon and it feels pretty good I must say. Elise just dropped in for a couple of minutes to say hi to Chris and I.

She is now on her way to her PT appointment. Chris and I are watching horror movies and we are cracking up with laughter. Go figure!

Well, here is what went on in Sin City on the second day of our stay. Enjoy!

23 Oct 13

It is 8:40am. We are getting up. A stray from the norm for me, eh? We are slowly getting ready to get this day started.

We hit the Starbucks for some octane. Elise ordered some oatmeal and I had a slice of lemon pound cake. Bobby joined us as we ate our breakfast. Bobby told us about how much of a good time he and Patrick are having and it is taking it's toll on Bobby, but he is enjoying every moment of it.

Bobby heads back to the Excalibur and Elise and I decided to walk the strip and look for a movie theater. We found one that is right next to the giant Coke bottle. We checked out what was showing and we chose a movie that we will see tomorrow.

We continued are stroll on the strip. We went in and out of a few casinos to grab a drink and to play a few slots. We stopped in the "Aria" a very fancy casino, we liked it there because the girls who were serving the free drinks were finding us faster than we could find them. That is a plus for us. In New York, New York where we are staying you had to hunt them down at times to get our Jack and Cokes.

We were playing the slots in New York, New York guess who walked up on us? Yes, It was our long time epals and friends Ross and Denise. We forgot that we were playing the slot and we all hugged up. We were so glad to see each other. This is the highlight of our trip to Sin City. We talked and chatted for quite awhile. We set up a meeting for dinner later in the evening. It was a teary moment for us.

We were doing pretty good on the slots. So we decided to stop and keep our winnings. We adjourned to our room for a rousing game of "Gin Rummy" that was refreshing for sure. Now we were energized and we headed back down to play some more slots until it was time for dinner.

Ross and Denise arrived and we were shown to our table. Bobby and Patrick joined us within a few minutes of our being seated.

We ordered 3 appetizers, onion rings, Irish nachos with chicken, and fried sausages. They were delicious! Elise and Ross ordered Bangers and Mash, I ordered the chicken pot pie, Bobby ordered a filet and shrimp, Denise ordered the lamb stew, and Patrick ordered chicken wings.

Elise and I had Jack and Coke of course, and everyone else had beer. We enjoyed the meal very much and we talked and talked, and talked some more.It was a great evening. Elise picked up the check for Ross and Denise and us. It totaled $194.53 tip included.

After dinner Ross wanted us to get an after dinner drink at one of the bars in New York, New York. So we did and we talked, and talked. It was a fantastic evening. We said our good-nights to Ross and Denise. They are leaving tomorrow heading for San Francisco for about 6 days. Once again I got that lump in my throat and teary eyed again. Ross and Denise are a wonderful couple and it was a blessing to meet them in person. We will meet up again without a doubt.

Elise and I played a few more slots and then we bounced to our room to call it a night! It is 10:35 pm.
