Our Community Gardens

Howdy!!

How is your day progressing? Well, while Elise was caring for Chris this morning, I had a chance to take a ride through the neighborhood. It is a very nice day her in the Old Pueblo and we are starting to heat up quickly.

I stopped by our neighborhood Community Gardens on Bell St. What a treat and a sight to beyond. Who says you cannot grow things in the desert? Well they don't know the people in our community at all. I witnessed our neighbors hard at work in the blazing sun working their garden plots. I saw many sun hats, gloves, tools, a nice watering system that is unique. The sweat was starting appear but the smiles continued to show on the faces of workers and tillers of the land.

Above are a few photos of the garden area. Within the garden are variety of plants, herbs, corn, tomato plants and much more to include kale and and many peppers. This is our neighborhood at its best and we will set the example for many other Tucson residents. Way to go!

Cheers......................
