What is up? I started the day off at 4:55am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise. Elise is still counting geckos this morning, but she will be up soon to care for Chris. Any plans for today?
The coffee is good and I am hungry this morning. We are going to go to a new place called "The Hummingbird Cafe" on the east side of Tucson. I hope that they have some hot coffee and big portions. I am glad that the wind has stopped for now here in Tucson.
We enjoyed our visit to Santa Rita High School to watch Eric's football team play. It was fun to watch and weather was perfect. We were joined by Eddie, Ann, and Jonny. The game ended in a tie 12 to 12. We returned home to watch our Wildcats play Colorado and our Cat's lost. If they had won they would have been the Pac 12 champions. Maybe next year,eh?
Later in the evening we met up with Sheila and family at "Enoteca" an Italian Trattoria located downtown. The food was excellent and the pizza is the closest thing to pizza I have had in Italy. Elise has a small skillet with eggs, shrimp and it was delicious. It was so good to see Sheila.
We left Enoteca and we walked over to the Arizona Theatre Company to see the play "The Great Gatsby" it was good and the theatre was packed. The stage effects were remarkable but we had to agree with the critics that it lacked at times. We returned home and Elise hit the sheets to read. I checked on Chris and he was wide awake for some reason. So I stayed up a while longer until he fell asleep. By that time Elise was in another world, smile.
We may go to the movies this evening after Rosie arrives to care for Chris. Well, I had better get to it. Have a good Sunday and get prepared for Monday. The pics are of the football game and a pic of the stage at LTW were we show the play Shirley Valentine.
Later........Jessie & Elise
