Afternoon!

What is going on? Well, Elise and I got some errands taken care on the air base and now we are back at home.

I found a package at our side door this morning when I went out to get the paper. I didn't recognize the address but I recognized the state that it came from.

What a wonderful surprise for Elise and I. It was from our sister Tiger and brother Ray who live in Tennessee.

I sent a text to Tiger to thank her for the wonderful surprise. I informed her that we would put the gift under the tree and that we would open it on Christmas day. This surprise really made our day. Thank you so very much.

Well, here is a bit more info about our cruise, enjoy!

It is about 8:00am. Elise and I got up just in time to see our ship dock in Matzatlan. Bobby came in last night at around midnight or so.

Elise and I got off of the ship to walk around in Matzatlan. We followed the blue line that takes you to Old Town Matzatlan.

We walked around, and it was very hot and humid. We looked at many sights until we got tired of walking. We stopped in a restaurant on the sea coast for lunch.

We had shrimp tacos, salsa and chips, a shrimp dinner with rice and we got it all down with a couple of beers. It was fun people-watching. One of my favorite past-times.

We returned back to the Star. Bobby and Elise played ping pong and I shot some hoops. Then we played a rousing game of Horse, of course I won. We rested up with a couple of beers and a couple of Jack and Coke's. 

We returned to our suite and we relaxed with another Jack and Coke. Bobby left to meet Gunther. Gunther will more than likely upset because Bobby was late.

Later Bobby ,Elise and I went to the Market Place Buffet for dinner. We ate tacos,pork chops, rice, beans, chicken and we had ice cream for dessert. 

After dinner we watched the sunset and let me tell you it was wonderful. Elise and I went to the Stardust Theatre to see a musical show featuring the music of Burt Bacharac. I am sure I spelled it wrong. The show was pretty good. One of the singers looked like Juoy Melody, one of Zack's former girlfriends.

After the show we called it a night. Tomorrow will hit up Puerto Vallarta. Another good day on the Star.

It's The Weekend!

   It's the Weekend! Sup? I started the day off at 5:00am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but I think that she will be up and on the go very soon. Any plans for today?

  The coffee just finished brewing and it is an eye opener, smile! Bobby will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosemary will be here this evening.

   Well, Elise, Lila, and myself we had a very nice dinner at La Parrilla Suiza. And the margaritas that Elise and I had were delicious. Again we were treated to dinner by my girlfriend Lila. When the bill came I reached for it and she was faster and she grabbed it up. I insisted that I be given the bill but she made a command decision. I tried to distract her so I could get the bill but she has a grip that is unbelievable. So I was defeated, and that is a very rare.

   After dinner we went to the 'Live Theater Workshop" to see the play "Game's Afoot". It is about  a Sherlock Holmes wanna be. It was fantastic! Great acting and loaded with laughs. We highly recommend this one. After the play we took "Lila" home and we said our good-nights.

   I have a couple of errands to run this morning while Bobby is here. I really need to get the "Fiat 500L" washed today. Maybe I can fit it in.

   We are going to a party this evening at the home of one of Bobby's friends. It should be interesting. Well, I had better get busy with Chris. I will post more about our cruise today. Have a good weekend.

PEBBLES AKA (ELISE)

Hey how is it going? Well, it has been a busy morning for Chris and I. We made his doctors appointment and the doctor was running behind. So Chris took a nap while we were waiting. I could have used a few winks myself, smile!

After the doctors we went to picked up some medical supplies for Chris. Come to find out they moved to another location. So Chris and I went on a hunt all over Tucson to find it, and we did.

We got back home and Elise was home setting up for bridge. I filled in Elise about our morning adventures. Chris enjoyed riding around in his van.

Well, the bridge game is underway and Chris and I are watching TV until the game is over. We hope that things are going well for you so far.

    It's a TGIF! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning and I am not sure if she will be putting feet to the floor anytime soon. Any plans for today?

   The coffee just finished brewing and it is delicious. I will have a biscotti to go along with my coffee. I have a very busy day today. I have to take Chris to an early doctors appointment and after that Chris and I will stop in a medical supply to pick up a few things that he needs.

  Elise is hosting a Marathon Bridge game here this afternoon. After the bridge game is over we will be picking up my girlfriend "Lila" to take her to "La Parrilla Suiza" for dinner. After dinner we will be going to "Live Theater Workshop" to see a live play about Sherlock Holmes that got wonderful reviews.

  Marv will be here this evening to care for Chris. Elise and I saw the movies "Theory Of Everything" and Exodus: Gods and Kings". These movies are excellent and are a must see. They are very well done and they open your eyes to quite a bit. At least for me it did. The Exodus explained parts of the Bible in a different way that made more sense to me than the actual Bible. The movie was more believable.  I have worked with a lady who had LG disease and she was the toughest patient that I have worked with over these past 22 years.

Well,  I had better get to stepping. I will try to post about the cruise if time permits. Have a good TGIF! I want to thank everyone who sent me a selfie of themselves for my new phone.

   It's a Thirsty Thursday! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:445am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning so she will be up and making her way to the gym very soon. Any plans for today?

  I am waiting on the coffee to finish brewing but my cup is in the ready position, smile! Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosemary will be here this afternoon.

  Elise and Chris will be getting a massage from Donna this morning. I have to run an errand this morning. Elise and I enjoyed the movie "Rose Water" at the Loft. It is a very good movie. We are going to see two movies today if time permits, because we are behind on our movie going. So many movies and sol little time.

  Well,I had better get busy with Chris. Have a great day.

Well the rain has stopped for now. It is a chilly 46 degrees here in the Old Pueblo. Only supposed to get up in the 50's today. Brrr!

Here is a bit more about our cruise:

2 Dec

We set our clocks forward an hour this morning. We all slept very well with the beautiful sound of the ocean outside of our balcony door. 

We got dressed and we met Gunther for breakfast. He wanted to go to a sit down and be served "restaurant". We ate at the ":Versailles" a French restaurant. It was very nice.

Elise had the oatmeal with all of the fixings and she ordered stewed prunes. I ordered an omelet, Bobby ordered eggs and bacon. Gunther ordered stewed prunes and a salmon eggs Benedict. 

After breakfast we left Bobby and Gunther. Elise and I walked the track for a mile. Elise and I returned to our suite after our walk. We are now on our balcony watching our approach to Cabo. Bobby joined us on the balcony and we saw a big sea turtle floating on the surface of the water. We all looked up and we saw some Orca Whales come to the surface as well. It was wonderful to see them spout. Soon we will be boarding a (tender) to take us to shore since the Star cannot dock in Cabo.

We board the tender for the short ride to shore. We begin our walking tour of Cabo. We looked at many shops and restaurants that line the shore. We are on a mission to go to Cabo Wabo. Elise and I have there before and the food and drinks are wonderful.

We get to Cabo Wabo and we are seated for lunch. We all had two strong margaritas. Man were they good! Elise was craving her lobster tacos like she had when we were there last but the lobster is out of season. Elise was disappointed to say the least, but the margaritas kicked in and she was cool. 

Elise ordered quesadillas with shrimp and some scallops. I had the enchiladas and tortilla soup. Bobby ordered frajitas and a beef dish. It was all good and very filling. We saw a few of our shipmates come in and we gave them a shout out as they sat at table across from us.

We left Cabo Wabo and we did some more walking. I have to tell you it was very hot. Elise and my legs started to hurt from all of the walking and stair climbing on ship. We stopped at a outside market and Elise bought three t-shirts. If you know Elise and I we are t-shirt nuts,smile! Bobby bought a serape as a gift for a friend.

We got back on the tender for the short ride back to the Star. We are back on board and we are in our suite again. Bobby is out and about with Gunther.

Elise and I are sitting on the balcony watching the shoreline of Cabo as we depart. It is dark and very humid, but beautiful.

Elise and I went to the buffet for dinner. I had the prime rib with all of the fixings. Elise had some rice and a little bit of my prime rib. She is still stuffed from Cabo Wabo. 

We return to our suite because we are beat and very tired. We throw back a Jack and Coke. That was all she wrote for us. Bobby is out and about with Gunther. Tomorrow we will be in Matzatlan. Another good day on the Star.

   It's a Hump Day! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up and on the go very soon. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is working well this morning and I think I will have a biscotti to go along with it. Well, we are being rained on this morning and it is supposed to do so for a couple of days.

    Well, my playmate and I have finally gotten into the holiday spirit. Elise put up the tree and I put up a couple of wreaths outside. I will be putting up some outside lights today. Bobby will be here this afternoon to care for Chris.

    I believe that we are going to go to the Loft this afternoon to see a movie. We may also go again tomorrow to see a couple of movies. There are many good movies out or coming out soon.

   I will post more about our cruise later today. Have a good one and stay safe.

So how did your day end up? It has been a pretty good one here. We were looking for some rain but that did not happen. Maybe tomorrow.

We listened to some karaoke music this afternoon and Elise got into it and she started to sing along. We are looking forward to our Karaoke Party that will kick off in February.

Hello,

How are you? Here is what happened on the second day of our cruise:

1 Dec

Now that we know where most thing are on board we are relaxed. Bobby got in late last night but he had a very good time with Gunther. They had dinner together and they walked around the ship and finally ended up in Gunther's room to chat and to get to know each other better. We are happy that Bobby is enjoying himself on his first cruise.

Elise and I had breakfast this morning that consisted of eggs, bacon and all of the works. After breakfast Elise and I walked the track for a mile and a half. 

After that we went to the Red Lion Pub and we entered a "Wii" Bowling  tournament to include Bobby. We enjoyed a few "Long Island Iced Teas" while we played.

After that we went to the casino. We always brake for a casino, smile! Later we stopped for lunch at the "Grill" around the pool. It is the "Wal-Mart" of the ship if you will. Elise had two tacos and I had pork chops, a hot dog, fries, and a small piece of grilled chicken.

After that filling lunch we we headed back into the casino. Bobby invested $20.00 and he won $251.00. Yeah Mon'. After that we went to the Grand Atrium to look around and Elise bought me a nice ring for Christmas.

Later Elise, Bobby and I went to Gatsby's Pub to participate in a Martini Tasting. OMG! That was a kick in the behind for all of us. We each had six martini's. Some made with gin, some made with vodka. By the time we were through drinking 18 ounces of alcohol we were all "lit" and Bobby was keeping us in stitches. There were a lot of people participating in the "Martini Tasting" and nobody was getting up too fast. It was a blast! Good thing we were not driving, smile!

Here are the Martini's that we tasted:

Le Fizz, Aviation,Going Coco Nuts, Cosmo, Apple, and Iceberg. All were 3 ounces a piece.

Later we had dinner to include Gunther. We had a seafood dinner that was great. After dinner we went to the Star Lounge to see the stage show (70's) music. It was very good. We made it back to our suite and that was all she wrote. Tomorrow we will hit up Cabo.

Hey how are you doing? I am good. I just got back from running my errands. WooHoo!

It is rather chilly outside and it is cloudy. The rain is on the way. I am starving and I had better grab a piece of fruit or something soon.

Hope that you day is going the way the you planned it? Chat at you later. Chris and I are going to listen to Karaoke music again this afternoon.
