Morning TGIF

Good Morning All,

Mood: Cheerful

Music listening to: Freak Out

TGIF, how are things going? I started today off at 5:00am caring for Chris. It is a very nice 62 degrees right now. Elise is calling all cars this morning. She will be taking over for me this morning due to I have a re certification class to attend this morning at 8:30am for 3 hours. I am downing a lot of coffee to get me going, smile.

We had a very nice evening last night Jeanne and Angelica at Chad's. We all had the prime rib that was excellent, with a baked potato and a salad. I had soup instead of the salad. Elise and I downed a bottle of Merlot that was excellent. Jeanne and Angelica had Margaritas. After dinner we went to Jeanne's house for after dinner drinks. Elise and I had cognac that was very good. We talked for a while and then we had to say our goodbyes because we had to get home to relieve Brent. We watched our Wildcats lose to California but they played very well. After the game we called it a night.

I have to run to my office this afternoon and later in the evening we are going out to eat dinner with Elise's Mom at The Golden Dragon. It is a very small place but the food is excellent. Elise's Mon and I always get sweet and sour pork, we love it. Well, I had better check on Chris and get ready to head out for my class. Have a good Friday all.
Later.........................

Good Night

Good Night All,

It has been a pretty good day for a Hump Day. Chris and Elise got their massages and Chris really relaxed. Elise prepared a very nice dinner this evening, something that we have not had in a long time.

We had BLT's and let me tell you they were fantastic. Elise also mixed up a dip of cottage cheese, salsa, and jalapenos, it was excellent. We also had a couple of grapefruit and vodka cocktails as well, hmmm, good. We watched a DVD called

The Lodger it was great and it had us on the edge of our seat all through it. It was about a modern day copy cat serial killer in the style of Jack The Ripper. It had so many twists and turns and it keep us guessing. The ending was a shocker indeed!

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise has more than likely hit the sheets already. She is reading a book no doubt. Well, I had better get back to work. We hope that your Hump Day went well?

Nite......................

Good Night Jeanne, see you tomorrow at Chad's for dinner.

How are you doing on this Hump Day? I started today off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting Quails this morning and singing them a melody as well. Do you have any plans for today?

Chris and Elise will be getting a massage this evening from Donna the massage therapist. Chris really mellows out during and after the massage. It should be a slow day today, and the weather is cooling down and will do so for the next few days. The coffee is right by my side and it is good. I think that I will have some yogurt this morning and maybe a grapefruit as well.

Have a good Hump Day and stay well.

Later..................

Good Morning Jeanne, see you tomorrow evening.

Rosie, how are you doing? Any plans for the near future?

Night

Good Night All,

It has been a very relaxing day today. I picked up Chris's wheelchair just in time to get him up when Brent arrived to care for him this afternoon. Elise and I went to the movies to see The Reader with Kate Winslet, and it was great. I can see why she won the Academy Award for her portrayal. The nude scenes of her were not bad either, smiling big time.

After the movie we went to Target to do a little shopping. We returned home and Elise fixed breakfast for dinner. We had pancakes, sausages and coffee, it was great. We also watched another episode of As Time Goes By. We only have one episode left and we will have finished the series. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise just left to play bridge at her Mom's house.

Well, I had better get to work. Have a good night all, tomorrow is Hump Day again.

Cheerio..........................

Good Night Jeanne.

Rosie, you are on a roll today with your posts.

Suzette, good to hear from you today.

How are things going? We are doing well here in Tucson. I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is up and out swimming this morning. The coffee is tasting good this morning and I am on my second cup already. Any plans for today?

I will be taking Chris's wheelchair to Dependable to have some minor repairs done on it this morning at around 9:00am. After Brent arrives this afternoon to care for Chris we may go to the movies. That is about it for today as of right now but it is early and things do change quickly, eh?

Have a great Tuesday and stay safe.

Well, it is Monday again, how are things going for you so far? I started today off at 5:20am caring for Chris. Elise is calling all bears this morning. It is a nice 60 degrees out and the birds are singing away in competition with Chris this morning. I have my cup of coffee in hand and it is very good.

I have a couple of errands to run this morning and after that we shall see how this Monday plays out. After Rosemary came to care for Chris last night we went out for dinner. We got an invite from Nanci and Jeff and what a great evening it was. Jeff had the grill going when we arrived and we all sat outside in the backyard. What a meal let me tell you. I became the grill master and I enjoyed every moment of it. I grilled a couple of burgers but the highlight was grilling Tomahawk steaks. Yes, Tomahawk steaks. I grilled two of them and they were huge and at least 3 inches thick. The best part I thought about grilling them is that you didn't need anything to turn them over. Hence the name Tomahawk steaks. Picture a Tomahawk in the westerns and that is exactly what you had. The huge bone was the handle and the rib eye was at the top of the bone, so all you had to do was to grab the bone and turn it over. I loved it! They were delicious and very tender and juicy, oh my! We also had salad, baked potatoes and of course we shared two bottles of red. We brought over a bottle of red called the Seven Deadly Zins and we love this red because it is a Lodi wine, excellent. After dinner we sat and talked for a bit and we looked at photos of the family. It was around 8:30pm and we had to say our good-byes and head back home so I could relieve Rosemary.

I relieved Rosemary and Elise called it a night. Chris was wide awake so I had to mill around until he decided to fall asleep which was around 11:30pm or so. It was a very good Sunday. I will take a photo of the Tomahawk bones this morning before I give them to the dogs o play around with. I had better get to it and get this day rolling. Have a good one.

Later.............................

Good Morning Jeanne, looking forward to Chads on Thursday.

Cher, how are you?

Herman, how are things in St. Louis? Give our best to all.

Sharon, in the UK, how was your weekend.

Laura, how was your weekend?

Liz, we hope that you enjoyed every moment of your birthday?

Hello

Hello,

Well we are back from having breakfast. I dropped Elise off at home and I took her Mom home. We had a good time a The Egg Connection. We could not get into Bobo's due to it had a long line out the door with people waiting to be seated. The wait time would have been around 25 minutes or longer, so we decided to go to the Egg Connection. Good choice.
Later................

Windy Sunday Morning

Good Morning,

Mood: Happy, sleepy.

Music listening to: Papa's Got A Brand New Bag by James Brown (Classic)

How are you? It is a very windy morning here in the Old Pueblo, but the temperature is a nice 60 degrees. I started the day off at 5:30am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning. The coffee is on and and I am brewing a breakfast blend that smells great. Elise is up and getting Chris started for the day, oops wait she has gone back to bed for a short snore or two. Neither one of us slept well last night, we tossed and turned.

Rosemary the caregiver did not show up last night due to her having a stomach virus, so the agency sent out Tim a new caregiver. I had to get Chris prepared for the evening since he has never worked with him before. I went over Chris's routine with him and he watched me as I worked with Chris. Later in he evening Elise and I went to the Melting Pot for dinner. We had a very nice time like we always do there. The fondue dinner was great and the chocolate dessert was excellent. We shared a bottle of Menage a Twia a very good red. We returned home and we are stuffed and I bet that is why we tossed and turned last night. I relived Tim and I looked after Chris until he fell asleep. Then I called it a night, Elise was already snoring up a tune already, smile.

Our beloved Wildcats lost to Washington but it was a good game, and ASU lost to Washington State as well. We are going to go out for breakfast this morning with Elise's Mom to a place called Bobo's. It is a small down home eatery and the food is good, and the cook sings while he prepares the meals. Comfort food! Well, I had better get busy, have a great Sunday all.

Later............................

Good Morning Jeanne. The rice dish is very good, thank you very much. I am pleased that you liked the Amish bread. With you being from Ohio and me from Michigan does that make us Amish?

Joe, good to hear from you as always. I know about trying to catch up with a box full of emails,it is a lot of work.

Cher, thank you for selecting me as co-owner of our group.
