   It's a Tricky Tuesday! What's Sup? I started the day off at 4:30am by taking a deep breath, opening my eyes and saying thank you God for allowing me to start another year. Yes, today is my Birthday!

   I want to thank my loving wife Elise for making my life special and for putting up with my ups and downs that I am sure will continue. Without her this life would be totally different. (Love you Elise). I want to thank my family and my many, many friends who have wished me the best on this day. Thank you for the gifts, cards, emails,hugs, phone calls, texts. Thanks to all of my girlfriends too! WooHoo!

  The coffee is freshly ground this morning and it is extra good today. Any plans for today?

   Well, we are packed and ready to spend my birthday at the "Casino Del Sol". We are using our perks for this two night stay and we are going to hit up the slots for sure. Cha Ching!  Today I am going to eat like royalty from soup to desserts. We will consume a little bit more of our friend Jack and Coke as well, smile!

    Bobby will be here to care for Chris while we are away on this stay-cation. 

    I want to thank Paula and Marty for informing us about the discussion group that we attended last night about Is There Racism Still? It was very enlightening and the diversity, sharing of ideas and thoughts were very good. Thank you Paula and Marty.

    It's a Monday! What is new? I started the day off at 5:00am caring  for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she is peaking out. So she will be up soon to start her day. Any plans for today?

    It is a cool Tucson morning but it will heat up fast at least I hope so. No smoothie or salad today, but plenty of coffee. 

    I have to run a few errands early this morning to pick up a few things for our trip to Jamaica. Also we need to purchase a new router and a wireless mouse.

    I will pack up my suitcase today for our stay at "Casino Del Sol". We will be there for two nights. I will be celebrating my birthday with Elise at the steakhouse. I am looking forward to it also to be able to pull a few slots as well. The first slot will be played by "Paula", yes I said "Paula". She gave us some money to play for her and we will start the gaming in her honor. 

    We will be meeting up with Paula and Marty this evening to participate in a community discussion about Racism in America. It should be very interesting.

     I received a hilarious birthday card via email from "Jane and Papa John" it is hilarious. I opened it up this morning and it made my day. I am blessed to have so many good friends. Tomorrow is my birthday and I will be 30 years old. Last year I was 31 years of age. I have started to lose a year as each birthday comes around. Elise said that it won't be long now if this keeps up she will have to start to diaper me. Smile!

   We went to see the movie "The Other Woman" and it is hilarious. Well, I had better get busy with Chris. Have a wonderful Monday! I will post a few pic from the after-party later this morning.

   It's a Sunday! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:40am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up soon to care for Chris. Any plans for today?

   It is a cool morning here in the Old Pueblo. The winds have stopped and the drizzling rain is over too. Elise and I are going to drag ourselves to breakfast this morning at the "Egg Connection". I hope that they have a lot of coffee this morning that is nice and hot.

   Later in the day Elise and I will sit down and prepare our list of things to pack for our trip to Jamaica this upcoming weekend. We are also going to have a stay-cation this week at the Casino Del Sol. We are going to use our perks to stay there. We are looking forward to the rest and slot play.

   Elise and I are going to hit up a movie this evening. Rosemary will be here to care for Chris.

    Well, the "Tucson Women's Chorus was a hit. It was presented at "St. Marks" church. I was surprised at the turn out. The chorus put on a great show and I think that it was the best that they have ever done.

    My date "Lila" enjoyed the concert and she enjoyed being with me. (Who wouldn't), smile! 

    The after party was fantastic. "Lila" helped to host the party along with Elise and I. Our house was wall to wall with people. The crowd overflowed onto the patio as well. It was a bit chilly out but many braved the chill. I figured a nice glass of vino and you would warm up post haste!

    The food was delicious and we thank everyone who brought a dish or a dessert. If I was doing one of my car sales I could have cleaned up. Cha Ching!

    Elise and I are pleased that everyone had a nice time and I am sure that we will be hosting again. I took many pictures and I will post a few as soon as I go thorough them. I also capture a few videos of the chorus singing.

    We would like to thank Angelica for caring for Chris while the after party was going on. Well, I had better get busy and get ready for breakfast. Have a great

  It's the Weekend! Sup? I started the day off at 4:40am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she is stirring about, so she will be up and on the move very soon.

  The coffee is brewing from freshly ground beans and smelling really good. No salad, no smoothie today due to this evening's events.

   We will be putting the final touches on the patio and the family room in the main house for this evenings after concert party.

   I have a few errands to run to include picking up food items for tonight. Angelica will be here this morning to care for Chris and she will be here this evening as well.  

  Elise and I had a very nice dinner at "Cody's Beef and Bean". The food was delicious. We both enjoyed the "T-
Bone " special. We got it all down with a half carafe of "Burgundy" at room temperature. Chin,chin!

  I will be picking up my date "Lila" at around 6 pm or so. "Lila" will be joining us for the after party as well. At that time we can catch up on what has been going on since I last dated her, smile!

  Well, I had better get to it. Have a great weekend and stay safe, happy , and healthy.

   TGIF! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in here cave this morning but she will be up and about very soon. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is working on me this morning. No smoothie or salad today. We are going to "Cody's Beef and Bean" this evening for dinner. Marv will be here to care for Chris.

   Elise and I really enjoyed the movie "Joe" at the Loft yesterday. It is a very, very good movie. It shows Nicholas Cage at his best. Excellent movie. It is a must see.

   Elise and I had dinner at "Kingfisher" last night and the food was great. We each has two glasses of a red that was very good. Elise had the fish special, and I had the fish and chips. We were supposed to meet up with Jen and Lundy but something came up and they could not make it.

    Well, I had better get busy. I will be working on the patio again getting things set up for tomorrow evening's after party. Have a good day.

    It's a Thirsty Thursday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is deep in her cave this morning but she will be up soon. Any plans for today?

    The coffee is doing it's job this morning and a small salad will be enjoyed later this morning. Angelica will be her this morning to care for Chris. Bobby will be here this afternoon.

    Elise and I may go to the movies today. We are meeting up with Jen and Lundy at Kingfishers for Happy Hour this evening.

     Well, I have to say again that those St. Louis Style Ribs are delicious. Rosemary like them and Elise was able to eat some as well. It was touch and go for awhile because I could not stop eating them. I thought to myself I have to stop because it would not be fair for Elise not the get any. I think the fur-babies are mad at me because they did not get any. They guarded the smoker while they were cooking with a vengeance. 

     I will be working on the patio area again today in preparation for the after party here on Saturday evening. Well, I had better get busy. Have a good Thursday!

    It's a Hump Day! How are you doing? I started the day off at 4:55am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning and I don't think she will be putting feet to the floor anytime soon. I could be wrong, smile! Any plans for today?

    The coffee is good this morning and no salad or smoothie today. Elise and I are going out for an early dinner with the crew. We are meeting up with Toni, Lois, and Lee at Leo's for Mexican food. Yes, it will be a margarita day for Elise and I. Ole'.

     Rosemary will be here this afternoon to care for Chris. Well, the smoker is open and I am soaking some hickory and Jack Daniels wood chips in water for about an hour. 

     The St. Louis style ribs are out of the fridge and I will put them in the smoker in about an hour from now. My mouth is watering already. I hope that they turn out moist and delicious.

     Once the smoker starts the fur-babies will park themselves right next to the smoker hoping for something to drop by accident. Not going to happen, smile!

     Well, I had better get busy. Have a great Hump Day.

The day is almost over how was yours? It has been a busy one for me. Caring for Chris, working in the backyard, preparing St.Louis style ribs for the smoker, looking over tables and chairs for Saturday. I need a Jack!

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is getting a massage right now. We had pinto beans and cornbread for dinner. Delicious!

It is a little windy evening and supposedly we have a storm coming in over the weekend with lots of wind.

Hot in Tucson, AZ

What's happening around your way? It is heating up here in Tucson. Elise started the cooling in the main house and I just started it up in Chris's house. Ahhhhh! 

I believe it is 5 o'clock somewhere right? Time for a cervesa or three. I just finished cleaning up the patio area and I brought out a couple of chairs and a metal tub to put ice and cervesas, sodas, and maybe a bottle of white vino or two.

I am just getting a ahead start on Saturday evening. I will bring out more chairs and tables over the next few days. I have the overhead lights strung up and I may  need to purchase a new extension cord or two.

I will also bring out a cooler or two for water and the like. I am starting to get hungry. So I believe it is time for that salad.

  It's a Tricky Tuesday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is not in her cave this morning and she is purring a way. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is nice and hot this morning and a small salad is on the ticket for later this morning. We are supposed to hit the 90's here in the desert. You will be able to hear the cooling systems being turned on all over the city, smile!

   I have no plans for today except to work on the patio area daily to make sure it is ready for the after party that Elise is hosting on Saturday evening. 

   I am also going to get my spare ribs cleaned, trimmed, and seasoned with my rub. I will then put them in the fridge overnight to get all of that rub deep into them. Tomorrow they will hit the smoker for about 5 hours. Can you smell that smokey goodness? BBQ and cervesas, yeah!

  Well, I had better get to it. Have a great Tuesday!

New Smoker and Gazebo! 

Well, for a Monday it has been a pretty peaceful one. How about yours?

Chris and I spent to afternoon setting up the gazebo for the BB Q/Smoker. It was hot putting it together. I downed quite a bit of ice cold water. Ahhhh!

Elise picked up some hickory chips and other smoker woods for me. I will be giving the smoker a test run in a few days for sure.

Elise prepared breakfast for dinner. We had corn cakes, eggs, and plenty of coffee.

 I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is on her way to the Tucson Women's Chorus" practice. They will be putting on a concert this Saturday. The after party will be held her at our home and Elise will be the hostess.

Well, I had better grab another glass of water and check on Chris.

What's up? I just got back from running my errands and getting my lab work done. I have to tell you I am starving because it was a required fasting for this lab work.

I picked up a few items for a nice BBQ. I bought a new barrel smoker and I am going to give it a try in a few days. I picked up some St. Louis style ribs, a couple of thick center cut pork chops, and a nice rub.

I need to pick up some wood chips for the smoker as well. Maybe I can text Elise and to see if she can pick up some before she comes home.

Elise and I are going to start making our list for our trip to Jamaica. We are really looking forward to this trip. We are hoping that no (SNAFU'S) arise to mess it up. We have our snorkels, and floaters all ready to be used. Yea Mon'.

Chris is receiving his Cranio Sacral treatment right. He will be in a zone very soon. Well, I had better get something to eat before I pass out, smile! The above photos were taken on Saturday at the Easter Brunch in the foothills of Tucson.

   No coffee or anything this morning except my meds and some water. I have to get some lab work done at around 8:30am. After that I may rob Mickey D's of a few sausage biscuits, smile!

   It is a very nice morning here in the Old Pueblo. We have a visitor who will be staying with us for a few weeks. She is occupying "Do Drop Inn" room number 2. She is a good friend of our niece Sara.

  I have to run a errand after I get my lab work done. I will visit the post office to check on a package that I sent out that has not arrive as of yet and it should have by now.

Easter Sunday!

    It's Easter Sunday! How are you? I started the day off at 4:50am looking in on Chris and getting him settled for Elise. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up to care for Chris soon. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is freshly brewed this morning. No smoothie or salad this morning due to Elise and I are going to the "Egg Connection" for breakfast.

    We had a very nice Easter Brunch with the family up in the foothills of Tucson. Good food and it was good to see everyone.

     Elise and I went to "Downtown" for Happy Hour. The food was very good and so were the drinks. Elise ordered lamb tongue tacos and a glass of red. I ordered the corn meal fried chicken livers and Tucson Lemonade. Later Elise ordered an extra dry martini with three olives. Man was that good. I ordered a second Tucson Lemonade. 

     The play at the Arizona Theater Company titled "Venus in Fur" was very good and very well done. It was like "50 Shades of Grey" very sensual and erotic. The actress that played "Venus" was hot. Did I say that? Yes, I did, but don't let that get back to "Lila", smile!

     Elise and I will be going to the movies this evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris.

   It's the Weekend! What is up? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but she will be up and about very soon. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is brewing and no smoothie or salad today. We are going to gather in the foothills this afternoon for our traditional Easter Brunch. 

    Bobby will be here this morning to care for Chris and Rosemary will be here this evening. The smell of rain is in the air here in the desert of Tucson, but we need more than sprinkles, smile! We need a good rain so Loraine, Jane and I can run in it in the all together, smile!

    Elise and I had a very nice dinner last night at the "Blue Willow'. We had a few glasses of a very nice Chianti. Elise and I both had salad. Elise had the trout filet's and I had the country spare ribs. It was all good.

    After dinner we headed for the "Invisible Theater" to see the play "Olive and the Bitter Herbs. It was hilarious and very well done. The theater was packed. The played starred Susan Claassen and she was true to form. We recommend this one.

    After Easter brunch we are going to "Downtown" for a few cocktails. Afterwards we will be at the "Arizona Theater Company' to see the play "Venus in Fur" it should be a good one.

Afternoon!            

How are you? We are being sprinkled on off and on. Smells really good. 

I got my errands taken care of and Chris and I are resting watching TV. Elise and the Marathon game is in full swing. Chris and I can hear them talking and laughing. I hope that someone has not gotten into the Jack, smile!

We are looking forward to this evenings activities. Tomorrow we will be up in the foothills having an early Easter brunch with the family. It something that we do every year. The dynamics has started to change due to some of the family members are grown and have lives of their own.  I do miss Mum being at these gatherings a lot.

Well, I had better get back to Chris and get my attire ready for tonight.

   It's a TGIF! How are you? I started the day off at 4:45am caring for Chris. Elise is in her cave this morning but I am sure that she will be up shortly to start her day. Any plans for today?

   The coffee is delicious this morning. No smoothie, and no salad today. I have a pitcher of lemon water chilling in the fridge to get me through the morning.

    Elise and I went to the movies to see "Draft Day" and it is a very good movie. After the movie we went to the DDC to pick up our perks and we played a few slots. Rosemary was here caring for Chris.

    It was the DDC's 30th Anniversary and a lot of freebies were given out. T-shirts, mugs, cookies, and beads. It was a party in the desert.

    Well, I have to tell you the slots were good to us last night. We played several slots and we ended up at our favorite slot. We won a little over $400.00 and we took the money and ran to another slot. We played for awhile and we were not having any luck. So we returned to our favorite slot. We had downed about 4 Jack and Cokes. Of course some Jack had to be involved don't ya know? Smile!

    Well, we decided that we were going play a little longer and call it a night. So we played and our slot paid off. Elise kept saying that it would and she was correct to the tune of $1280.00 greenbacks. That took our winning up to over $1600.00. At that time we called it a night and we cashed in. It was a great night at the DDC.

    We left the casino and we headed for "Village Inn" for dinner. The food was very good. We returned home with a full stomach and a purse and wallet full up too! Are we going back anytime soon? You bet your $#% we will. We will hit up Casino Del Sol next. Cha Ching!

   Elise is hosting a Marathon Bridge game here this afternoon. I am going to give the bidders and shufflers a break today due to I am feeling good about last night's winnings. Am I getting soft on the bridge players or what?

   Marv will be here this evening. Elise and I will have dinner at the "Blue Willow". After dinner we will hit up the "Invisible Theater" to see the play "Olive and the Bitter Herbs" it should be hilarious.

I was just notified of the passing of my dear longtime friend's Mom. Monna lives in Canada and we have been friends for way over 20 years.
