It has been a slow Monday and that is a good thing. It has been a cool day and very windy here in the valley. Today was very peaceful and no major mishaps occurred, whew!! Elise and I had leftover turkey for dinner and it was very good and I believe that I ate way too much. Burp! Excuse me, please.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise will be leaving shortly to play bridge at her Mum's. We hope that your day went well? Have a good night and a better tomorrow.

Hey it's Monday how are you? I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting raindrops this morning but she will be up and at it very soon. It is a cool 46 degrees here in Tucson this morning and we are looking forward to more rain today. The coffee is nice and hot this morning and it has hit the spot.

Any plans for today? I have to run a couple of errands this morning and that is about it for me, but it is a Monday don't forget. Well, I had better get back to Chris and get this day moving along. Have a good day and stay safe.

Well, the day is just about over and it is raining here in the Old Pueblo and I am not complaining at all. We had a very nice breakfast this morning at Let's Eat and the food was very good. It is a small place and it was packed to the rafters.

We returned home and I had to go to purchase a new power adapter for our laptop. I must keep it in good working conditions for our stay-cations and mini-vacations. We watched a DVD called I Hate Valentines Day and it was very good. Chris really enjoyed it a lot.

Rosemary is caring for Chris this evening and Elise's Mum took us out to dinner to a place called Marie Calendar's. The food was great and we shared a bottle of Pinot Noir that was pretty good. Elise's Mum got her favorite and that was the chicken pot pie and she got a slice of lemon pie and coffee for dessert.

We returned home and Elise is now working on Christmas cards. After Rosemary leaves I will check on Chris and then I will call it a day. I am sure that Elise will be calling all hogs by then. Included in this posting are a few photos of Tangye's and Dave's wedding that we took yesterday. Have a good night and sleep well, but beware tomorrow is a Monday.

How are you this morning? Hey, it is raining here in Tucson and we have thunder boomers as well. I started the day off at 5:45am looking in on Chris. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning. I just poured myself a cup of coffee and it is very good.

We had a very nice time at the wedding of Tangye and Dave in Arrivaca, AZ last night. I was well done and it was in a different kind of setting. By that I mean it was done outside on a farm and it was chilly. I really felt sorry for the bride and the bridesmaids because I know that they were cold or pretty near freezing. It was great to see how the family members and children were involved in the wedding. Nicely done. We are very happy for Tangye and Dave and we wish them the very best. I will post some photos that we took of the wedding in our next entry.

We are going to go to breakfast this morning as usual with Elise's Mum. We are going to try a new place called Let's Eat. We hope that the coffee is good and hot. Well, I had better go and check on Chris and get ready to head out to breakfast. Have a good Sunday all.

Well, I finally got a few hours of sleep and I am feeling better. We are under a winter storm watch through tomorrow, with a chance of snow. It will not snow down here in the valley I am sure, but you never know about this Arizona weather.

Hey, we will be watching our most anticipated in state rival game today. It will be our Wildcats against the ASU Sundevils. This a game that we Arizonians look forward to every year, it should be a good football game.

How are you doing on this Saturday morning? I started the day at 4:00am due to the dogs barking at something, the TV in the living room has been on since 10:00pm and doors have been opening and closing all night as well, between the main house and Chris's. I now have a pounding headache as a result but I will strive on.

Any plans for the weekend? I am about to put on the coffee pot and I will be looking in on Chris shortly and getting him settled so he can start his day. No real plans for today but we are supposed to attend a wedding this evening. Well, I had better get my coffee cup ready and I am going to take something for my headache. It's Friday! I started the day off at 6:00am caring for Chris. Elise is counting turkey legs this morning but she will be up real soon, maybe! Smile. I am downing coffee this morning and it is good and hot. Elise rubbed my back last night due to I injured it while working with Chris a couple of days ago, so I am taking things slow and easy. I am tired this morning due to the continuous sleep interruption due to company going in and out between the main house and Chris's house. I am a very light sleeper.

The plan for today is that we will have our Thanksgiving meal sometime today. Today is a regular workday for me and I have to go to my office this afternoon and I have to run a few other errands as well. We will see how the day goes. How was your Thanksgiving? Did you get enough to eat? Smile!

Well, another cup of coffee is in my vision so I had better get this Friday moving along. Have a good day and a better weekend.

Well, the day has almost come to an end. Elise, her Mum Chris and I went to Hometown Buffet for dinner and it was OK. We went there because tomorrow the traditional Thanksgiving meal will be prepared to make up for the fact that Elise's sister Ann kids were not available today due to they had to work. So there you go! So called flexibility seems like the standard.

We returned home from Hometown Buffet and we watched a DVD along with Chris that was very good. I am caring for Chris this evening so I had better get back to work. I hope that your went well and I am sure that you got plenty to eat? Smile! After I get Chris settled I will look for something to snack on, I am hungry.

It's Hump Day! I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting Turkey drumsticks this morning but she will be gobbling along soon. Speaking of turkey, tomorrow is turkey day have you started to burn yet? Cooking I mean. If you are having sliced up turkey breast and gravy, and some sweet potatoes with those little marshmallow's, please FedEx me a care package, smile.

Elise and I are going to go to Pastiche this afternoon after Rosemary arrives to pick up two cases of Flying Fish wine and while we are there we may have a appetizer and a glass or two of red. What are you going to do? All of a sudden I am starving so I had better see what is available in he fridge. Have a good Hump Day and enjoy.

Well, another day has just about ended and it has been a good one. Chris was visited by his favorite case manager Jeanne W. They had their usual talk and then they began to arm wrestle. Chris loves that especially with her. He is still quite the flirt when he wants to be.

Rosemary took care of Chris this afternoon and Elise and I went to the movies to see Surrogates with Bruce Willis. It was very good. After the movie we stopped by Elise's Mum's house to pick her up for her hearing appointment. After we dropped her back home Elise fixed breakfast for dinner. We had pancakes, sausages, and of course hot coffee. It was very good.

I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is playing bridge at her Mum's. I experienced an episode today that has never happened before. I go this lightheaded feeling and I felt a bit tingled all over. It last for quite a while and Elise thought that it might have been the coffee that I fixed earlier in the day. I put in a bit more coffee grinds in this time and maybe it was a shock to my system. I feel fine now though. I do like my coffee though. I will keep an eye open just in case it happens again.

Well, I had better get back to working with Chris. Have a good evening and sleep well.

Well, this Monday has just about come to an end, and it has been a relaxed and peaceful day. How about yours? Chris and I took a nice walk this afternoon and we rested up out on the front porch and people watched. We were joined by Porkchop who was glad to be out of the backyard.

Elise prepared a nice dinner and we watch along with Chris a couple of episodes of Mash the 1st season on DVD. Mash is one of Chris's favorite shows and has been for many years. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is at her Mum's playing bridge.

I took a few photos of the front of the house while Chris and I were out there. In the photos you can see the work that we put into landscaping the front yard. Also there is a shot of the mountains as well. Have a good night and sleep well.

Well, it has been a very good but different type of weekend, but it is all good. We relaxed today and we did our workout on the Wii. We had a very nice breakfast with Paula and Marty this morning.

Elise and I played a few games of ping-pong this afternoon and that was a lot of fun. We also watched a DVD with Chris this evening called Cheri and it was very good and Chris liked it a lot. After Rosemary arrived to care for Chris we left to visit Jeanne and her children up in the foothills of Tucson. We had a very nice time and our Jeanne is looking good this evening, she has a very special place in our hearts.

After we left Jeanne we went to the Outback for dinner and it was very good. We both had the filet and lobster,with a baked potato and a salad. We shared a bottle of red that was pretty good too! We topped that off with a Wallaby and it was very good. We returned home and I checked on Chris and Elise hit the sheets. I will join her a bit later after Chris falls asleep. It has been a peaceful Sunday. Have a good night and lookout tomorrow is Monday, smile.

How are things going on this Sunday morning? I started the day off at 5:30am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise is caring for Chris this morning. I just started the coffee to brewing and I have my cup in hand waiting.

Well, our Wildcats lost to Oregon last night in a very good game that went into overtime twice. My hommies the Michigan Wolverines lost to Ohio State as well. All I can say is way to go Jeanne. While we watched the Wildcats play last night we enjoyed homemade pizza that Elise prepared and we also enjoyed a few glasses of Blackbox Merlot.

This morning we are going to meet with Paula and Marty for breakfast at a place called Chapins. It will be good to see them and to hear the latest from their neck of the woods. Later in the evening after Rosemary arrives to care for Chris we are going to pay Jeanne a short visit to see how she is getting along.

How are you this morning? I started the day off at 5:45am looking in on Chris and getting him settled. Elise will be caring for Chris this morning after she comes off of cloud nine, smile. The coffee is good this morning and I am going for my second cup.

We had a very nice evening at Pastiche Modern Eatery last night. We shared a very good salad and a nice cup of chicken soup. We enjoyed a good bottle of BV Reserve Red a very nice blend. We talked and enjoyed people watching while waiting for our dinner to arrive. Well, our dinner took a while before it showed up so we had it boxed up and we took it with us because we had tickets to see the play at the Invisible Theatre.

The play was very good and funny and the theatre was packed. We returned home after the play and we shared a few bites of our dinner and we called it a night. Hey, are you ready for Turkey Day? I love turkey open-faced with gravy it is so good. We have no real plans for today as of yet but we will be staying in this evening to watch our Wildcats play football, Go CATS! Our basketball team won their game a couple of days ago as well.

I had made plans to take care of a few things for myself this morning but that was not to be. I ended up babysitting a seven year old and it really annoyed me. I don't get much time to myself and when I do I treasure it. I guess by me being around so much is very convenient and at times I feel taken for granted.

Well, enough about that. I do have some good news though. I saved a few dollars by switching to Geico, smile.

TGIF, how are you? I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is counting cows this morning but she will be up real soon. I haven't had any coffee as of yet and I am a bit lost and cranky. Do you blame me? Not a good way to start off a Friday at all.

Any plans for today? We are going to go to eat dinner at a place called Pastiche and then we are going to see a live play at Invisible Theatre. Elise and I had a good time last night with her Mum, Lois, Lee, and Toni. We ate dinner at Macayo's and the food was great. Elise got a taco and a tostada and of course a Ultimate Margarita. I got the Sonoran Enchiladas and they were so good and I had an Ultimate Margarita as well. Mum got her favorite tacos and a Miller's Lite in a frosted mug, she also got some flan for desert. Hmm, hmm, good.

I must tell you something, I am as sore as I can be from working on the front yard yesterday. Can you say Ben Gay? The yard looks good but we paid he price. Well, I had better grind up some coffee beans and get a pot to brewing before I have a meltdown. Have a good day and stay safe.

Chris and Elise will be receiving a massage this morning and I am going to be in need of one myself after we finish with the landscaping today. We will start to work on it this morning at around 8:00am. It is back breaking work but we need to get it done. Zack will be here to lend us a hand and a shovel.

We are going to go out for Mexican food this evening with Elise's Mum, Lois, Lee, and Toni. Can you say Margaritaville? After working on the front yard a Cadillac Margarita will hit the spot, maybe two, smile.

Well, it has been a very good day for a Monday, smile. I started the day off at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is still counting crows but she will be up soon. We are going to place an order for some landscaping rocks for the front yard. Elise and I left to place the order at 7:00am and it will be delivered on Thursday morning. I had to run a couple of errands and I had to run to my office as well.

Elise prepared dinner and we began to watch the Mash series on DVD with Chris, Chris loves Mash. I am caring for Chris this evening and Elise is playing bridge at her Mums house. She is still under the weather with her sinus infection. She is now taking additional meds for it and we will see what happens. Well, here is what happened on our trip to New Mexico.

We left Tucson on the 12th of November at 12:30pm. We left late because our caregiver Marva didn't show up on time, she was suppose to be here at 9:00am. Marva arrived at 11:00am to care for Chris and we departed to have breakfast at Gus Balone's before we hit the road. Elise had the ham steak, eggs, hash browns and toast. I had pork chops, eggs, hash browns, and toast. We had plenty of coffee as well.

We stopped in Globe, AZ to get a snack a McDonalds and to take a bathroom break. Elise got an ice cream sundae with no toppings and I got a cup of coffee. We are listening to a book on tape about a man whose son was autistic. It is a very good book. We arrived in Quemado, New Mexico and we checked into to Largo Motel and Restaurant it was about 6:30pm. I took us about six hours to get here. We received a phone call from Nanci when we were in Show Low. Nanci and Jeff are on the road and they are in Globe,AZ.

It is about 8:00pm and we had a couple of Jack and Cokes and some popcorn. We went over to the restaurant for dinner. I had the catfish, mashed potatoes and green beans. Elise had tacos with pinto beans. A very good dinner. It is cold outside 48 degrees. We returned to our room and we called it a night.

Friday 13 Nov 09, we woke up at around 9:00am and that is very rare for us to do that. We both sleep well but when we stepped outside it was cold! We overheard a guy say that there was a 30% chance of snow forecasted for Sunday. Nanci called from the property because they were wondering where we were. We had breakfast at the the restaurant before we left to meet with Nanci and Jeff. Elise had Carne Adobado and it was very (picante) spicy with cheese, potatoes an corn tortilla. Elise loved it. I had eggs, ham, potatoes and pancakes that were huge. A very filling breakfast. We are now heading into the mountains to help Nanci and Jeff.

We left Nanci and Jeff's at around 8:30pm and we got lost in the woods for a short time, what a adventure that was and fun. We had dinner with Nanci and Jeff before we returned to our room. We had some very, very good tamales for dinner. We took a ride up the mountain, and we hiked, had a few beers and talked. It was good to see Nanci and Jeff. We watched TV for a while back at the hotel and then we called it a night.

Saturday 14 Nov 09, Elise got up at 8:30am and I got up at 9:00am. We both were feeling a bit under the weather this morning and Elise is feeling bad dealing with the sinus infection. We went to have breakfast and Elise had oatmeal, brown sugar, raisins. I had eggs, pancakes and a sausage pattie that was as big as the plate itself. Of course plenty of coffee.

We headed up the mountain to see Nanci and Jeff. We spent most of the day outside helping to clear the area where the house is going built. I even chopped logs for the fire and let me tell you I am feeling it right now. We rested by the fire and we got snowed on and it was great. We were in and out of the trailer when to rain and snow got to be too much. It was a very good day and it was good to be out in the weather. The temp was 37 degrees and it only got to be 50 degrees today. We were snacking on bean dip and Frito's while we watched the snow fall. Later we sat by the fire and relaxed. Elise and Nanci prepared dinner and it was very good. We had hot dogs with chili and beans and we had plenty of red to wash it all down. Nice dinner! We headed back to our room at around 8:00pm. We showered and called it a night.

Sunday 11 Nov 09, we met Nanci and Jeff at the restaurant for breakfast and then we took off and we headed Tucson. Nanci and Jeff will be headed back to Tucson as well after they secure the property. We continued and finished listening to the Horse Boy on the way home. We arrives home at around 3:30pm just in time to see the Wildcats basketball game, and they won. Go Cat's!! We had a very,very nice time.

We are back from our trip to New Mexico and it was a working visit. We helped our friends Nanci and Jeff with getting the area cleared and ready so they can begin to build there home. I will go more into detail in the next blog entry. We got back in time to see our Wildcats basketball team beat NAU, Go CATS!

It is good to be back home and let me tell you we got snowed on and it was very cold.

How are you? I started the day off at 5:45am caring for Chris. Elise is still counting sheep this morning but she will be up soon. She is still not up to par but she is feeling better. The coffee is great this morning and I am thinking about a slice of toast or two. Any plans for today?

I have not packed yet for our trip to New Mexico but I will complete the task sometime today. We may go to the movies this afternoon when Marva arrives to care for Chris and if Elise is up to it. Elise's Mum wants to take us out for dinner this evening and that is a very nice gesture.

Well, I had better get the ball rolling. Have a good day and stay safe and healthy. We will be leaving early tomorrow morning and we will have our laptop with us just in case we can get Internet service. We will take photos for sure on this trip.
