How are things going this fine Saturday morning? We are doing great here in Tucson. I started my day off at 4:00am and of course my better half is sawing away at those logs. I will be putting on the coffee in a few minutes and I will be glad to have a cup or two.
Chris is asleep but he will be awake shortly. I have to go to the Lab this morning for a blood work up. It is the routine CBC that the doctors request yearly to see how things are going. I had to fast after midnight last night and my stomach is talking to me this morning saying "feed me".
Elise and I had a very nice dinner last night at Cody's Beef and Beans. I had the New York steak with a third of a rack of ribs with a baked potato and salad. Elise had a Rib Eye steak and baked potato and a salad. Of course we shared a carafe of Burgundy that was pretty good. We returned home and we watched a DVD about gang members and the Border Patrol in New Mexico, it starred Cuba Gooding Jr.
After Marv the caregiver left for the evening we called it a night. Well, Chris is st iring so I had better get to work. Have a great weekend everyone. We are going to bbq up some ribs today for dinner with some of Elise's homemade bbq sauce. We are also going to watch the Wildcats play football on TV at around 7:30pm, GO CATS! Good Night
Good Morning
Music listening to: Slipping Into Darkness by War.
Morning All,
How has everyone been doing? Well, we hope so. I started today at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is counting sheep. The coffee is on and I will grab a cup as soon as it is ready because I am let me tell you. We had a very nice time in Rocky Point, Mexico it was very relaxing and we needed the break badly.
I have to get Chris ready this morning early due to he will be visited by his case manager Jeanne Walker. He loves it when she visits because he gets to arm wrestle her and he gives her a hard time, but he loves it.
Well we arrived in Rocky Point at around 2:00pm on the 15th of October and we unloaded the pick up and. We immediately fixed a Jack and Coke and we ate a few Jalapenos stuffed with tuna salad that I made prior to leaving Tucson. It was so good! We are staying right on the beach at Bucky and Dena's house, we stay there every time we visit Rocky Point. They have a beautiful home and it is worth over a million dollars.
Elise and I took a walk on the beach for about an hour. The weather is very nice, hot but not too hot and the breeze off of the Sea of Cortez cools you down. We ended the walk at about 6:00pm and we had dinner of Ham Sandwiches with cheese, more Jack and Coke and more Jalapenos. We watched a DVD called Grand Canyon it was good. We could not get the Direct TV to work and we could not get any computer network as well. We were stranded from the world so to speak. We called it a night after the movie.
Oct 16
We started the day at 7:00am by having breakfast that Elise fixed. It was Bacon, eggs, toast, and coffee. We decided that we would go into he city to buy a few things from the grocery store that we needed later in the day. There is a house right next door that is for sale and the asking price is $850,000.00 but it is not as nice as Bucky and Dena's home. It is all about the location, right on the beach itself. We took another stroll on the beach before we went shopping. We bought a few things to include paper towels, shrimp, cheese, refried beans, cheese, chips, cokes, avocado.
We returned home and we took our chairs down to the beach at around 2:00pm. We had lunch more jalapenos and beer. We people watched and the sea was rolling on our toes and legs. Very nice and the water was just right not too cold. We went back inside and Elise fixed us a Jack and Coke. I began to prepare the shrimp and Elise relaxed and read a bit. For dinner we had sauteed shrimp with garlic chile sauce mixed with olive oil, refried beans, quinoa and a bottle of Flying Fish Merlot. It was exquisite! Better than any restaurant fare. While were eating we watched the Godfather 1, he original. It was hard to believe that it was done back in 1972, boy does time fly by. We called it a night.
17 Oct
We started the day at about 9:00am, Elise was a bit tired this morning because she didn't sleep that well last night. She fixed breakfast bacon, eggs, ham and potatoes, toast of course coffee. We talked about how good the dinner was last night and we decided to go back into the city to buy more shrimp for dinner tonight. I am not kidding it was excellent. We talked about stopping back by the casino in Tucson on our return, because we stopped there on our way to Rocky Point. I won $75.00 after putting $25.00 into the dollar slot machine. This trip was pretty much paid for by the winnings from the casino, a good deal, eh?
We went back out to sit on the beach and the surf rolled in onus while we finished off the last of the Jalapenos. We threw down a few beers and we watch the people next to s fly kites. We also watched the boats go by pulling pontoons with people riding them having a good time. The pontoons were in the shape of whales and the weather was perfect. We took another stroll along the beach along with many other people and their dogs. We went back inside and we began to prepare dinner and of course we had a Jack and Coke while we were working. We had our shrimp and refried beans, and we had rice this time. It was so good. We watched the Godfather 2 while we ate dinner. After dinner we took hot showers and called it a night.
18 Oct
We got up at around 8:30am and this time I didn't sleep well but Elise sure did. We had a very light breakfast this morning. Elise is out on the porch reading and watching the waves come in and recede. We later got all packed up and secured the house and we departed for Tucson at about 10:00am. Oh, I forgot last night we before we turned in we started a fire in the fire pit outside facing the sea and we listened to the surf and the crackling of the fire and we gazed at the stars. We arrived in Tucson and we stopped at McDonalds for something to eat. Afterward we stopped at the casino to try our luck again and then we left for home. I was a very nice trip, and oh so relaxing and we both needed the change of scenery. I told Elise that it is the very simple things that make this life worth while and and she agreed with me. We hope that this give you an idea of how much fun we had in Rocky Point, Mexico? It is good to travel but it is always a pleasure to come back home.
Have a great day all, we missed you guys while we were away.
Ciao.......................
Rory, enjoy your vacation.
Morning, JT.
Sis, hope that your birthday was a good one?
Susie, hope that your birthday was a good one? We saw a show on the travel channel about Jeddah last night. It was great to watch!
Rosie, how are you doing?
Liz, where are you now?

Well, we are back from our short mini-vacation to Rocky Point, Mexico. We had a very good time. I started today at 5:30am looking in on Chris. Elise is caring for Chris this morning. I am on the hunt for coffee right now because it is needed badly. I will give more details about our trip with photos as soon as we get settled back into the norm.

I will be getting Chris settled in about an hour and a half. We are leaving for Mexico at about 8:00am. Chris's caregiver will be here at 8:00am to care for him while we are away on this short trip. I am about to start up the coffee pot to get a jump start on the day. I hope that they show the debate on TV while we are there, but they more than likely will not.

Good Night
Well it has been a long day and I have been here all day with Chris alone. Elise has been out playing bridge and running errands. Chris and I took a nice walk this afternoon and then I loaded him up in his van so I could run some errands myself. Elise returned and she fixed dinner and afterward she was off to play bridge with her Mom.
We are planning on leaving on Wednesday morning for Rocky Point, Mexico for a few days. I fixed up a batch of Jalapenos stuffed with tuna salad. They are very good and hot, we love them and we will take them with us on the trip. I will take our camera along to take photos and the laptop as well but I don't think we will get any service there. I am going to do nothing but relax while we are there because I need it badly. I am exhausted to no end and I am very tense right now.
Well I can hear Chris chatting up a storm so I has better get in there to see what is going on with him. Have a wonderful evening all.

Good Night
Good Night All,
Well we had a very nice evening at Zemans with Elise's Mom, Paula and Marty. The food was excellent and the injera was just perfect for Elise. We also consumed two bottles of red during the meal. A great evening!
Prior to going out for dinner we received a call from the caregiver Mike stating that he has run into a problem with one of the residents in the our area. He was out walking Chris as always and she came running out of her house saying that Chris was chocking because he had his head down toward his chest and that he was not breathing. This upset the caregiver and he called and we arrived to see what the problem was. I told Mike to go on and continue to walk with Chris. I asked the lady if she was a doctor and she said no that she was not but she was a nurse for over 15 years. That made me lose my temper and I told her what I thought about her and her so called nursing skills. My intention was was to let her know how I felt and I did a good job of it because she refused to talk to me anymore. So Elise took over from there and she handled the situation. By nature I am a very easy going guy but if you get on my bad side all hell breaks loose. I was upset for the rest of the evening and I still am at this time, but I have a plan in the works for her.
Anyway I hope that the evening went well for everyone?
Buona Notte!.........................................................
Good Night JT. Have good upcoming week in Tempe.
Ross, always a pleasure to hear from you and Denise.
Paula & Marty, thank you for a wonderful evening at Zeman's.
Joe, enjoy your trip and stay safe. Good Fishing!

Morning,
How is everyone doing today? We are doing OK here in the desert of Tucson. We got a little bit of rain yesterday and a lot of wind, it really cooled things down around here. I started the day off at around 3:00am and could not get back to sleep, due to Lampchop our dog was having a barking fit due to something was going on in the area. She was doing her job!
I finally just got up at 5:30am and I looking in on Chris. I had to stretch out on the couch and I drifted off to sleep. Elise is caring for Chris this morning. We always go out to eat breakfast with Elise's Mom on Sunday mornings but this morning she wanted to sleep in so Elise and I went to a place called the Egg Connection. We returned home and I checked on Chris and Elise went grocery shopping.
We had a very nice evening out last night. We were supposed to go to Claim Jumpers with Bucky and Dena but they were not up to it so we went to a place called Bistro 44. The food there was excellent. Elise had a mixed seafood dish, with mussels, scallops, shrimp and salmon that was very good. I got the rib-eye with buttermilk mashed potatoes and it was great as well. We also consumed a bottle of red wine too. We are going to be going back to Bistro 44 in the near future.
Well, our Arizona Wildcats lost the football game yesterday by only one point and we believe that they should have won this one but they just let it slide away. Well, I think that I am going to hit the couch again as soon as Elise returns from shopping. We wish everyone a great Sunday. We are going out this evening with Paula and Marty and Elise's Mom for Ethiopian food.
Later................................
Morning JT, we love you!
Paula & Marty looking forward to this evening with you guys.

Hallo,
How is everyone doing this fine Friday morning? Let's hear it TGIF!! I started the day at 5:30am caring for Chris. Elise is awake this morning and she is reading and relaxing. I have to get Chris up and ready early today because I will be taking him to see his doctor. He will be receiving his Botox injections this morning.
I have a few errands to run this afternoon after we return from Chris's appointment. Later in the evening after Marv the caregiver arrives we will head out to the Live Theatre to see Funny Money. It got some very good reviews and comments about it in the newspaper. Afterward we will have dinner at Buddy's Grill, one of our favorite places, and it is Elise's Moms favorite place.
We had a fantastic evening with Jeanne and Angelica in her home up in the foothills of Tucson. Jeanne, is the sweetest of all the bridge players that Elise knows. Her personality is amazing, she is witty, bright, confident and yes she can crack a joke or two if need be. A wonderful friend indeed. Angelica her caregiver is a God-send, what an attitude toward life she will do great things during her lifetime.
We also played a few rounds of Bridgette while we were there and Angelica and Jeanne caught on very fast. Jeanne is an excellent Bridge player and like her attitude toward the game, being that is what it is a game. A wonderful evening and a great dinner.
Well, I has better get back to work and get this day started. I haven't has any coffee as of yet and I can feel the need for some right now. Have a great day all and stay safe over the weekend.
